DESIDARIO asking 38k

Pax Asgard af Pegasus x Jakira (Johnson), Desi stands about 16h and is not quite finished filling out yet with an elegant uphill build! He had a good youth without any trouble and good guidance to grow into a well rounded young horse who trusts his people.

Now solidly under saddle walk/trot/canter and learning the basics of dressage he is ready to finish your way! He has the mindset to go into a program with an AA who has good guidance or of course a professional looking for a flashy prospect. He wears front shoes, is good for the farrier, bathing and trailering. Of course we are focusing on dressage but he may also make a super event or hunter prospect.

INFO FROM HIS BREEDER:
Pax Asgard af Pegasus x Jakira

This cross never disappoints. This colt will also be a Main Book registered Knabstrupper and he will be well suited for dressage or eventing. The two prior full siblings to this colt received excellent remarks during their inspection (one earning Premium) and one earned Silver at Dressage at Devon in 2021. This colt has superb conformation and rhythmic gaits that are strong, active and ground covering.

As all of our foals are, this colt has been well socialized in his mare & foal herd and prior & after weaning will be well socialized to all ages and genders. He is handled and led daily, used to wearing his feed bag to receive his daily supplements and has had his feet handled and routinely trimmed by the farrier since he was 2 weeks old. The Knabstrupper breed is renowned for their amateur friendly and willing temperament. The breed is seen in a variety of disciplines from eventing to Paralympic dressage horses to driving teams. Those who have worked with the breed always remark on their uncomplicated and versatile nature. The colt’s sire, Pax Asgard af Pegasus is quickly becoming one of the most prolific sires of high quality Knabstrupper offspring in North America. Pax is incredibly versatile, standing at 16.3 hh, he is ridden under saddle in dressage as well as driven in harness. Pax has recently begun jumping and is proving to have wonderful form and easily clears 1.20m. In 2021, Pax competed in the Get of Sire class at the world-renowned Dressage at Devon earning a Bronze with a collective mark of 77.15 points to finish behind serial winner KWPN sire Sir Sinclair and the 7-year-old Oldenburg stallion Davos CF and beating out several traditional Warmblood stallions. This was a huge accomplishment for a rare breed and non-traditional Warmblood. We are universally hearing praise from breeders on the outstanding type and temperament of their Pax offspring. Pax has produced several Premium foals in his first year of breeding to outside mares. He has consistently produced correct and quality type with lovely gaits and long legs.

The dam, Jakira, is a Premium graded powerhouse of a mare. Bred by Volkmar & Heik Schadock, she remains in active competition for dressage and four-in-hand driving with Murder Hollow. Prior to our ownership, she showed in both dressage and eventing. At her eventing debut at Woodside International Horse Trials, she placed in the top 10. Jakira performed her riding horse test (Reitpferdeprüfung) in Germany under rider Christin Böhner placing 3rd. Jakira is incredibly forward and never goes against the leg. Jakira is uphill, powerful and balanced with great freedom of movement in her shoulder.  She is a hard worker and we have already seen her produce similar qualities in her offspring. In 2021, Jakira competed in two classes at Dressage at Devon. She earned Silver in her Mare class – just .2 points away from Gold. She also earned Bronze in the Produce of Dam class where she was 1 point away from Gold.

Jakira’s sire, Johnson, has risen to be one of the world’s best dressage stallions and holds 2nd place (as of 2022) on the FEI World Ranking. Her grandsire, Jazz, has led the top spot of WBFSH ranking and is now in 3rd place (as of 2022). Jazz was titled KWPN Horse of the Year 2006. Jakira’s paternal granddam has produced a plethora of incredibly talented and high-level horses including two Grand Prix offspring and two PSG/Inter I offspring. Jakira’s dam, Dorema, has produced multiple talented dressage offspring who are currently working their way up the levels. Jakira’s maternal granddam, Donnerfee, produced a licensed stallion, Sir Lausitz.

This colt has a strong pedigree with the personality to match. We have no doubt he will make a wonderful prospect both in the young horse ring but also in the performance ring. Please feel free to contact us if you are interested in this lovely colt.
